Many Marvel Rivals players are experiencing extended shader compilation times on launch, significantly delaying gameplay. This guide offers a solution to expedite this process.

Game loading times can vary, especially for online titles. However, Marvel Rivals PC players are encountering unusually long shader compilation times, sometimes lasting several minutes. Shaders are crucial for rendering 3D graphics correctly, and improper installation can lead to various issues.

A community-discovered workaround effectively addresses this problem:

  1. Access Nvidia Control Panel: Locate and open your Nvidia control panel.
  2. Adjust Shader Cache Size: Navigate to the global settings and find the Shader Cache Size option.
  3. Set a Lower Value: Choose a value less than or equal to your VRAM. Note that options are limited to 5GB, 10GB, and 100GB; select the closest appropriate value.

This adjustment significantly reduces shader compilation time, often to just a few seconds, and also resolves "Out of VRAM memory" errors.

While this workaround is effective, players may prefer to wait for an official fix from NetEase. Currently, the developer hasn't publicly acknowledged the issue. To avoid lengthy load times, however, this solution is highly recommended.

Marvel Rivals is available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
