Kingdom Come 2 Sells 2 Million in Less Than 2 Weeks

by Allison Feb 24,2025

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's phenomenal success continues, surpassing 2 million copies sold in under two weeks!

Warhorse Studios, the developer, celebrated this milestone as a "triumph," echoing their earlier reaction to the game's initial 1 million sales within a single day of release.

This remarkable achievement for the medieval RPG sequel, launched February 4th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, is truly noteworthy. Embracer Group, Warhorse's parent company, highlighted the game's exceptional performance, particularly on Steam, where it boasted over 250,000 concurrent players at its peak – a significant leap compared to the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 players seven years prior. The actual peak concurrent player count is likely even higher, considering console sales, though those figures remain undisclosed by platform holders.

Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors praised the game's success, emphasizing both player and critical acclaim, and projecting continued strong revenue generation in the coming years. He attributed this to the game's high quality and immersive experience, further highlighting Warhorse Studios' planned updates and new content over the next year.

The post-launch roadmap for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is ambitious, featuring three expansions scheduled for 2025. Free updates in spring will introduce features like a barbershop with enhanced customization, Hardcore Mode, and horse racing. Summer will see the release of the first paid DLC, "Brushes with Death," focusing on protagonist Henry's assistance to a mysterious artist. Autumn brings the "Legacy of the Forge" expansion, delving into Henry's adoptive father's past. Finally, winter concludes with "Mysteria Ecclesia," a covert mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
