About the Hazari Game:

  1. This is a four-player card game using a standard 52-card deck.
  2. Each player receives 13 cards.
  3. Players arrange their cards in descending order.
  4. Players call "up" when they finish arranging their cards.
  5. Once all players are "up," the player to the right of the dealer begins discarding cards.
  6. The highest card wins the round and the player discards three more cards.
  7. After all cards are played, points are tallied.
  8. Cards Ace (A) through 10 are worth 10 points each; cards 9 through 2 are worth 5 points each.
  9. A, K, Q, J, 10 are worth 10 points each; 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 are worth 5 points each.
  10. The first player to reach 1000 points wins the game.
  11. If multiple players discard the same card combination, the second player to discard that combination loses. For example, if Player 1 throws AKQ of Hearts, Player 2 throws 678 of Spades, Player 3 throws AKQ of Diamonds, and Player 4 throws 55J of Hearts, Player 3 (AKQ of Diamonds) wins the round.
  12. Winning Hand Rankings (Highest to Lowest):

    • TROY: Three cards of the same rank (e.g., AAA, KKK).
    • COLOR RUN: Three consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., AKQ of Spades, A23 of Hearts).
    • RUN: Three consecutive cards of any suit (e.g., AKQ of mixed suits, A23 of mixed suits).
    • COLOR: Any three cards of the same suit. The highest card determines the winner.
    • PAIR: Two cards of the same rank (e.g., 443, 99J). Higher pairs beat lower pairs.
    • INDIVIDUALS: Any three cards not forming a Troy, Color Run, Run, Color, or Pair. The highest card determines the winner.

How to Play:

  1. Each player arranges their 13 cards into groups of three and one group of four.
  2. A player discards three cards; other players follow, discarding their highest-value three cards.
  3. The player with the highest-value cards wins the round and discards another three cards. This continues until only four cards remain.
  4. The final four cards are discarded, and the highest-value cards win.
  5. The game continues until a player reaches 1000 points.
