Application Description

In today's digital age, securing your WiFi network is paramount. One tool that can help you assess your network's vulnerability is WPSApp, which utilizes the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) protocol. This protocol simplifies the process of connecting to a WiFi network by using an 8-digit pin number, often pre-set in the router. The issue arises because many routers across various brands have predictable or calculable pins, making them susceptible to unauthorized access.

WPSApp leverages these known pins to attempt connections and evaluate the security of your network. It employs several algorithms for pin generation along with default pins. Additionally, the app can calculate default keys for certain routers, display stored WiFi passwords on your device, scan connected devices, and analyze WiFi channel quality.

Using WPSApp is straightforward. When you scan for networks in your vicinity, you'll notice three types of indicators:

  • Networks marked with a red cross are considered "secure." These networks have the WPS protocol disabled, and their default passwords are not known.
  • Networks with a question mark have the WPS protocol enabled, but the pin is unknown. Here, WPSApp can test the most common pins to check for vulnerabilities.
  • Networks with a green tick are likely vulnerable, as they have the WPS protocol enabled and a known pin. Alternatively, if a router has WPS disabled but the password is known, it will also appear with a green tick, indicating that you can connect using the key.

To access certain features like viewing passwords, connecting on Android 9/10, and utilizing some additional functions, you must be a Root user.

Please note that not all networks are vulnerable, and a network appearing as such in WPSApp does not guarantee 100% vulnerability. Many companies have updated their router firmware to address these issues.

If your network is identified as vulnerable, take immediate action by disabling WPS and changing your password to a strong, personalized one. Unauthorized intrusion into foreign networks is illegal, and I am not responsible for any misuse of this tool.

Starting from Android 6 (Marshmallow), you need to grant location permissions due to new requirements set by Google. For more information, visit: Google's Android 6.0 Changes.

Some Samsung models encrypt passwords, displaying them as a series of hexadecimal digits. If you need to decrypt these, seek further information online or contact the developer. Additionally, pin connection does not work on LG models with Android 7 (Nougat) due to issues with LG's software.

Before rating the app, ensure you understand its functionality. For any suggestions, issues, or comments, please email [email protected]. Thanks.
