The Peak Hunters application boasts a continually expanding database of peaks from the Czech Republic and select neighboring countries. With GPS technology integrated into your mobile device, you can log your ascents and earn a point rating based on the mountain's altitude and the challenge of the climb. Add your personal ratings and photos to each peak you conquer. The app displays all peaks clearly on the map, allowing you to filter them by country, mountain range, or proximity to your current location. You can download offline map data, essential for areas where mobile signals may be weak. These maps utilize OpenStreetMap data and include tourist routes. If you discover a peak missing from our database or wish to add a new hill, simply long-press on the map to submit it for inclusion. Upon approval, the peak will appear alongside others, and you'll earn bonus points for the addition. Peak Hunters offers an expanding suite of statistics and collectible badges. Retain the badges you've earned, and receive special congratulations for rare ones. For each peak, you can access up-to-date weather forecasts, aiding in trip planning with projections up to 48 hours ahead. Another handy feature is the ability to identify mountain peaks by pointing your phone at them, provided the correct distance filter is set. You can also use the app in completely anonymous mode. In incognito mode, the app functions identically, but profile data cannot be transferred to other devices, logged out, or restored if the device is lost or data corrupted. We recommend trying the app in incognito mode before converting to a registered profile. The application contains no ads or fees. It was developed out of a passion for hiking and the need for an app to track peak conquests with offline map capabilities. Users can manually switch between dark and light modes, with settings available on the user profile screen. If you encounter any errors, notice something missing, or have other feedback, you can reach out directly through the in-app form. We value all feedback. Note that there is no accompanying website; the application is fully functional on its own.
