Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic in Mid-April
LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, heralding a cosmic transformation that will revamp everything from the menus to the battlefield. This update invites players to explore the Dual Nova galaxy, encompassing the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, promising an exhilarating gaming experience.
Three new champions are set to shake up the Wild Rift arena, each bringing unique abilities to the table. Ryze, the Rune Mage, unleashes devastating area of effect damage and can strategically teleport teammates with his Realm Warp ability. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on sowing chaos, using Paranoia to cloak the battlefield in darkness, disorienting foes. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time itself, slowing enemies and reviving allies with Chronoshift.
Additionally, several champions are receiving comprehensive reworks. Garen's Courage now scales over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will now shred enemy armor more effectively. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage output and life steal. Minor tweaks are also in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a fresh feel to their gameplay.
Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will invigorate non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that materialize through portals during the laning phase. Mages are also in for a treat with new item updates. The Bandle Fantasy item introduces additional burst damage, Hextech GLP800 slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance boosts ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.
Ranked mode is also receiving significant updates. A new season kicks off with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, bringing enhancements to the Ranked store and simplifying the process of earning seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star unlocks, introducing AAAARAM—a novel twist on ARAM with added augments and galactic visuals.
The Wild Pass will offer two visually stunning skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate’s new look introduces an entirely new skinline, adding to the excitement of this patch.
