Vampire Survivors Unveils SaGa-Themed DLC and Cross-Save Update
Today, Vampire Survivors released an exciting new free DLC titled Emerald Diorama, which introduces a thrilling crossover with Square Enix’s renowned fantasy RPG series, SaGa. This marks the game's most substantial update to date, bringing a fresh JRPG flair to the beloved survival game.
Emerald Diorama Brings JRPG Vibes to Vampire Survivors
The Emerald Diorama DLC introduces a captivating new stage designed like a mini world map, complete with world-hopping elements that add a new layer of exploration. Players can dive into this new content and encounter over a dozen unique characters, ranging from puppeteers to those who sing cursed melodies, each adding depth to the game's narrative and gameplay.
In addition to the new stage and characters, the DLC boasts over 16 new weapons and a novel Glimmer system. This system allows players to randomly pick up new skills during their runs, enhancing the strategic aspect of the game. The update also includes nine new music tracks to immerse players further into the SaGa-inspired world.
To unlock the Emerald Diorama, players should visit Moongolow and engage with a new merchant. For 50,000 gold, you can purchase the Emerald Disk, which will unlock the content piece by piece, offering a gradual reveal of the new features.
The DLC also introduces the concept of character parties, allowing players to form and control mini squads, adding a cooperative feel to the gameplay. To see this in action, check out the launch trailer for Vampire Survivors: Emerald Diorama:
Furthermore, the DLC adds two new Adventures, mini-campaigns with six chapters each. "To End an Ice Age" is tailored for the base game, while "Tides of the Foscari" extends the narrative and gameplay within the new DLC.
Alongside the DLC, There’s Another Free Update
Simultaneously, the base game received a free update called The Coop, which introduces a chicken-themed adventure. Players can now control a new character named Gazebo, along with a new weapon and a relic that speeds up gameplay.
The Coop update also offers new achievements to unlock and introduces Darkana. To fully unlock the potential of The Coop, players need to collect 500 lifetime floor chickens. A helpful tip for players: during the first minute of playing The Coop, avoid killing anything to unlock the Gaze of Gaea. Evolving this with Parm Aegis will further unlock Gazebo.
Vampire Survivors, along with the free Emerald Diorama DLC and The Coop update, is available on the Google Play Store. The latest updates also support cross-platform saving, allowing players to continue their progress across PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS devices.
