Unlock All Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds: A Guide
For all the completionists and trophy hunters out there, you'll be thrilled to know that *Monster Hunter Wilds* offers some challenging achievements. But don't worry, we've got you covered with a detailed guide on how to unlock all the hidden achievements in the game.
All Hidden and Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds
In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, there are 12 secret achievements. Seven of these are tied to the main storyline and will unlock naturally as you progress through the game. The remaining five are linked to optional objectives, which we'll detail below:
- I Caught a Shooting Star!: Caught a creature in the desert that shines like a shooting star.
- A Prize Held High: Caught a creature that bears an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
- A Legacy Restored: Obtained an Artian Weapon of Rarity 8.
- Seasoned Hunter: Hunted 50 Tempered monsters.
- Top of the Food Chain: Hunted 50 Apex Predators.
While some of these achievements are straightforward, others require a bit more effort. Let's dive into how to unlock each one.
I Caught a Shooting Star!
To unlock this achievement, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Prepare some screamer pods, and look for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots in this area. Use the screamer pods to stun it, then capture it with your Capture Net.
A Prize Held High
You can achieve this in any map by finding tight corners and dead ends. Specifically, go to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and locate the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab. Alma will often comment when you're near a creature carrying an Ancient Wyvern Coin, so keep an ear out for her remarks.
A Legacy Restored
Once you reach High Rank missions, you can start crafting Artian gear. To obtain Rarity 8 weapons and materials, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters while equipped with Rarity 7 gear.
Seasoned Hunter
Make sure not to confuse Tempered monsters with Frenzied monsters, which are typically outlined in red. Tempered monsters are marked in purple on the minimap. Both slaying and capturing these monsters will count towards the achievement. They start appearing from Chapter 4 onwards, once you enter High Rank content.
Top of the Food Chain
This achievement is straightforward, though it's important to note that only the following monsters are considered Apex Predators:
- Rey
- Dau
- Uth
- Duna
- Nu
- Udra
- Jin
- Dahaad
And that's how you unlock all the hidden achievements in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and information on the game, including the best gathering set to use, be sure to check out The Escapist.
