"Ubisoft's Project U: Leaked Intro Video Reveals Co-op Shooter Details"
Ubisoft's unannounced game, Project U, has been plagued by a series of unfortunate leaks. The first gameplay leaks emerged in 2022, shortly after the game's closed beta testing began. These leaks have resurfaced two years later, indicating that the project is still in development. Recently, an introductory cinematic from the game was leaked online, suggesting a possible reboot of the game's development.
The leaked cinematic's origin and authenticity have not been officially verified. It was shared by blogger Shaun Weber, known for leaking gaming content. Weber hinted that more videos from Project U could surface if the game continues to be in development for an extended period.
Project U is anticipated to be a session-based cooperative shooter, taking inspiration from the success of Helldivers 2. The leaked footage suggests that the game's storyline centers on an alien machine invasion of Earth, with players assuming the roles of chosen individuals tasked with combating this extraterrestrial threat.
As of now, Ubisoft has not provided any official updates on when they plan to formally announce Project U.
