Ted Lasso Season 4 on the Way, Jason Sudeikis Confirms

by Chloe Mar 27,2025

Jason Sudeikis, star and producer of the beloved Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, has officially announced that the show is set to return for a fourth season. This exciting news was shared during a recent episode of the New Heights sports podcast, hosted by NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. In the episode, Sudeikis revealed that the team is currently in the process of writing Season 4, confirming that Ted Lasso will be coaching a women's team this time around.

The announcement marks the first solid update on the continuation of Ted Lasso in nearly two years, much to the relief of fans who have been eagerly awaiting news on the feel-good soccer series. While it remains unclear whether Season 4 will be the final installment or where the new season will be set, Sudeikis humorously dodged questions about a potential return to the U.S., stating, "That's too many questions, and that's only because I don't know."

In addition to Sudeikis' return, Deadline reports that Juno Temple, who plays Keeley, is in negotiations to reprise her role, while Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are confirmed to return as Rebecca, Roy, and Leslie, respectively. Filming for the first episode of Season 4 is expected to begin in Kansas City in July before moving back to the UK.

Apple TV+ is actively working to rekindle interest in Ted Lasso, with the show's official X/Twitter account playfully acknowledging its long hiatus. Although no specific release date or plot details have been disclosed yet, the anticipation for the new season is palpable.

The last significant update on Ted Lasso came in the summer of 2024, when Deadline reported that Season 4 was nearing greenlight status. For more insights into the series, you can explore why mid-2023 was a challenging time for TV fans and read our review of the Ted Lasso Season 3 premiere.
