Techland Unveils New Roguelite Mode in Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2's thrilling new Tower Raid mode is now live! This roguelite-inspired addition offers a dynamic and unpredictable survival experience unlike anything before. Following extensive testing, Tower Raid provides a completely fresh perspective on the infected world of Dying Light 2.

Forget Aiden Caldwell; players will command one of four unique warrior archetypes: Tank, Brawler, Ranger, or Specialist. Each class boasts distinct abilities, encouraging diverse strategies and collaborative gameplay. For the ultimate test, players can even tackle the tower solo or with a reduced team size.

Tower Raid features three difficulty levels – Quick, Normal, and Elite – impacting both intensity and run length. Procedural generation ensures every climb is unique, with shifting floor layouts and unpredictable enemy encounters demanding constant adaptation.

Techland's innovative progression system turns defeat into an advantage. Each failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, gradually improving chances of success. A mysterious merchant, Sola, awaits within the tower, offering rare rewards such as the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to worthy conquerors.

While Techland gears up for Dying Light: The Beast, support for Dying Light 2 continues throughout 2025. Expect future updates to include improved co-op, refined matchmaking, enhanced community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a novel weapon class, prologue enhancements, and significant graphical and technical improvements.
