What’s New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?

The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into new battlegrounds. Each moon presents unique challenges: Ganymede is a barren wasteland, Io is littered with volcanic debris, and Europa is a frozen, treacherous terrain. Jupiter itself is fraught with intense storms, adding to the excitement of the gameplay.

Two new factions emerge with this update. The Jovian Empire, a formidable military force, aims to dominate the region, while the Pirate Council, a chaotic alliance of outlaws, seeks to disrupt their plans.

Players can dive into 50 new missions featuring diverse objectives. These include hyperspace hunting to track down elusive targets, piracy missions, escort duties, and train defense missions, ensuring varied and engaging gameplay.

The expansion introduces six new ships: Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker, each with unique capabilities. Additionally, a range of new weapons is available, including the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam, enhancing combat strategies.

The update also introduces Tier 4 shields and armor, bolstering player defense options. New hazards to navigate include asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the formidable Pacifier. Enemy mercenaries have also evolved, with new classes such as Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk adding to the challenge.
