Star Wars Outlaws Launch Date Set for Nintendo Switch 2

Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Star Wars: Outlaws will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2, although it won't be a launch title. Instead of debuting with the new Nintendo handheld on June 5, the space adventure will arrive a few months later on September 4.

For those who haven't experienced Star Wars: Outlaws on PS5, Xbox, or PC, the game unfolds between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It follows the story of Kay Vess, a minor criminal who becomes the target of a cartel's death mark. Our reviewer rated it a 7 out of 10, describing it as "a fun intergalactic heist adventure with great exploration, but it’s hindered by simple stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many bugs at launch."

The announcement came during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, where Ubisoft also unveiled details about the second story pack for Star Wars: Outlaws, titled A Pirate’s Fortune. In this expansion, Kay Vess will ally with Hondo Ohnaka to confront Stinger Tash, the leader of the Rokana Raiders. Star Wars: Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune is set to release on May 15, offering fans more adventures to look forward to.
