Spider-Man Animated Series on Disney+ Already Renewed for Seasons 2 and 3

Marvel's animated "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" series, following Peter Parker's freshman year, has received early renewals for both Season 2 and Season 3!

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, recently revealed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that Season 2's scripts are complete, with half the animatics already finished – all before Season 1's premiere on January 29th. The greenlight for Season 3 is also confirmed.

Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the show, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...What Jeff Trammell is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off." He anticipates the emotional connection with the characters deepening across the seasons.

While Winderbaum will be discussing Season 3's pitch with lead writer Jeff Trammell shortly, specific release dates for either Season 2 or 3 remain unannounced.

The series chronicles Peter Parker's initial high school experiences as he develops his superpowers. Whether subsequent seasons will follow Peter chronologically through his high school years or explore alternative storylines remains to be seen.
