Announced back in June 2020, with glimpses revealed since, skate. is finally ready for its console playtest phase on PlayStation and Xbox. While a PC beta date remains unconfirmed, fans can still register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September, as highlighted in recent videos. However, developer Full Circle encourages continued registration, as development actively progresses.

To participate in the beta, visit EA's official website and navigate to the skate. page to register for Skate Insider Playtesting. Beyond early access to the game, testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.

skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks a significant return for the franchise, nearly a decade after Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it's designed as a free-to-play, live-service game promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
