The Sims will celebrate its 25th anniversary with lots of free items

Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The broadcast highlighted exciting free gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.

The festivities have already commenced with a new update. This update includes bug fixes, a revamped main menu, performance improvements, and redesigned classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs. These updated houses are available immediately in new games, and accessible via the in-game library for existing saves.

The main anniversary celebration begins February 4th. A significant update will introduce over 70 free items! Simultaneously, a new in-game event, "Blast from the Past," launches. Players can earn retro-themed items and a complete new set by completing simple challenges.

Further adding to the excitement, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut on February 6th. Details regarding the "Motherlode" season's content remain undisclosed for now, fueling anticipation among fans.
