The Sims 1 and 2 might come back to PC very soon
The Sims franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a bang! While Electronic Arts has unveiled an anniversary roadmap, the excitement continues to build, hinting at potential surprises.
A recent Sims teaser subtly referenced the first two games in the series, sparking widespread fan speculation about a possible return of these classic titles. Although unconfirmed, Kotaku sources suggest that EA and Maxis Games may release digital PC versions of The Sims 1 and The Sims 2, complete with their original expansion packs, by the end of the week.
The question remains: will a console release follow? Given the strong potential for nostalgic profits, it seems unlikely EA would overlook this opportunity.
Considering the age of The Sims 1 and The Sims 2, and the limited legal avenues for playing them today, a digital re-release would undoubtedly be a welcome gift for countless fans.
