How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era
At the start of Hollow Era, you begin as a Soul Spirit. To transition into a Shinigami, or Soul Reaper, you must accept the initial quest from an NPC named Hurt Shinigami, who is seeking assistance. Once you embrace the role of a Shinigami, you commit to this path with no option to revert to a Hollow, unless you later become a Visored. For those interested in the Hollow route, refer to our dedicated Hollow progression guide.
During the selection process between Shinigami and Hollow, timing is crucial. Choosing Hollow involves breaking your chain, whereas opting for Shinigami means the chain will slowly deteriorate every two minutes. If the chain fully breaks, you'll transform into a Hollow. In such a scenario, our resurrection moves lists will guide you through the Hollow endgame.
Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide
Your journey as a Shinigami starts with purifying six Lost Souls, aligning with the Shinigami's duty to maintain balance between life and death. Following this, you'll receive a quest from an NPC near Hurt Shinigami to deliver a letter to a Doctor friend by the hospital.
This early stage is perfect for familiarizing yourself with your Shinigami powers. Consider purchasing a $1,000 random sword of power from a Urakara shop, and if your budget allows, utilize the bus stop as a teleport/fast travel option for $200, given the expansive map. For an even smoother experience, you can opt for infinite fast travel in the Robux Shop for 149 Robux.
As you progress, quests are marked with a red crosshair, guiding you through various challenges such as defeating Hollows and Corrupted Shinigamis, until you reach level 15. Quests in Hollow Era vary, including repeatable quests, progression quests, and those tied to specific paths like Vizard and Airwalk.
Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu
To maximize your Shinigami's Reiatsu potential, strategic allocation of skill points is essential. The Reiatsu Skill Tree offers a range of powerful Kido abilities exclusive to Shinigami.
Kido and Reiatsu Nodes directly enhance your Kido damage output and maximum Reiatsu capacity, respectively. Here are some key Kido abilities and their effects:
- Caja Negacion: Projects a beam of lightning from your finger. When paired with Electric, it spreads to nearby targets.
- Shakkaho: Generates a red energy ball that explodes on impact, causing additional effects like ragdolling or igniting foes with Ragdoll and Fire.
- Chain Bind: Summons energy chains to pull enemies towards you.
- Prison of Light: Encircles the enemy with six light rods, immobilizing them—ideal for agile foes.
- Thunder Sear: Launches a slow-moving ball of lightning that causes electric damage and explodes upon contact, excellent for crowd control.
How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era
To unlock Shikai in Hollow Era, you must reach level 15 and visit Urihiro to undertake the Shikai Training quest. This involves defeating Urahara Kisuke for 1,700 exp, after which you can harness Shikai powers.
Warning: Facing Kisuke at level 15 can be challenging without a well-optimized character. If unprepared, consider grinding to level 25 or higher before attempting this quest.
Using Shikai
Upon unlocking Shikai, your weapon gains a random mighty ability. If unsatisfied with the power, you can re-roll it at Urahara Shop for a fee. Shikai activation requires a full Rage Bar, which fills with damage taken or dealt. Press Y (default keybind) to activate Shikai, which deactivates upon depleting your Reiatsu or releasing the key.
Hollow Era Shikai Mastering
Your Shikai Mastery Level increases with Mastery Points earned by using Shikai Skills. Higher Mastery Levels reduce Rage consumption and enhance your aura effects, with each level offering unique visual and power upgrades:
- Mastery Level 1: 1-149 Points. Grants Transparent Aura.
- Mastery Level 2: 150-299 Points. Grants a brighter aura with particles.
- Mastery Level 3: 300-499 Points. Grants a Lightning boost.
- Mastery Level 4: 500+ Points. Grants a zone of flying stones around you.
Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era
Once committed to the Shinigami path, the option to become a Hollow is closed, but you can bridge the gap by becoming a Visored. This requires reaching level 50 and unlocking the Vizard fighting style at the Vizard’s Warehouse.
To become a Visored, you'll need the Hogyoku, obtained by defeating the King of Hueco Mundo with a mere 1% drop rate. This marks the beginning of your Visored journey, allowing you to switch between Shinigami and Hollow forms using your Hollow Mask.
Hollow Era Visored Mastering
As a Visored, you gain access to Mask Control to manage your inner Hollow and extend mask-wear time, boosting your damage output with Hollow powers.
Visored Abilities in Hollow Era
- Hollow Mask: Allows control over your inner Hollow, enabling mask activation on command.
- Cero: Charges a beam of Reiatsu for significant damage.
- Final Cero: Pins and crushes enemies with a powerful Cero from above.
- Vasto Rage: Temporarily transforms you into the mightiest Hollow type, unleashing your full potential.
What About Hollow Era Bankai?
Currently, Bankai is not available in Hollow Era. However, given the game's popularity, future updates may introduce this feature. Stay tuned for any announcements regarding Bankai's addition.
