Sony and HBO have announced the renewal of The Last of Us for a third season. While an official release date is yet to be disclosed, production is slated to begin this summer. It's important to note that this does not signal the development of a third Last of Us game; Naughty Dog is currently focused on their upcoming project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
