SD Gundam G Generation Eternal Announces Network Test for US

by Hazel Feb 11,2025

Good news for Gundam fans! Despite a radio silence since 2022, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is far from cancelled. An upcoming network test, opening up 1500 spots to US players, is scheduled!

Applications are now open until December 7th, offering a sneak peek at the game from January 23rd to 28th, 2025. This marks the first opportunity for US players to experience the latest strategy JRPG in the franchise, previously limited to Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong.

SD Gundam G Generation Eternal lets players command a vast roster of pilots and mecha from the iconic Gundam universe in grid-based strategic battles. The series is renowned for its extensive selection of characters and mobile suits.

While the Gundam franchise enjoys global popularity, the SD Gundam line, featuring “super deformed” stylized mecha kits, might be less familiar to some. These charming, compact versions of iconic mecha were once incredibly popular, even surpassing the original designs in popularity.

A US Debut

The new SD Gundam title is sure to excite fans. However, Bandai Namco's track record with the series has been somewhat inconsistent, with past releases facing quality concerns or premature cancellations. Let's hope SD Gundam G Generation Eternal bucks this trend and delivers a high-quality experience.
