Scarlet Girls: Build Your Ultimate 2D Squad - Beginner's Guide

by Claire Apr 10,2025

Dive into the enchanting world of *Scarlet Girls*, a brand-new Idle RPG that introduces an all-female squad of technologically advanced mecha waifus. Set in the 119th year of the Old Euro Calendar, the game's narrative unfolds amidst a backdrop of devastating catastrophes that have mutated wildlife and birthed formidable beings, pushing humanity to the brink. As one of humanity's last hopes, you're tasked with recruiting and training these mecha girls, known as "Stellaris," to combat the menacing catastromechs and restore peace to Earth. This beginner's guide will illuminate the core game mechanics and modes designed to boost your account's power and progression. Let's get started!

Understanding the Combat Mechanics of Scarlet Girls

In *Scarlet Girls*, the gameplay is entirely idle, offering a laid-back experience for players who prefer not to engage in manual combat. The game operates on a turn-based system, with actions determined by each character's Speed stat. A round concludes once all allies and enemies have completed their turns. You can deploy up to five characters into battle, and the Quick Dispatch feature simplifies your strategy by automatically arranging your strongest characters into optimal formations. Once set, sit back and enjoy the visually stunning animations accompanying each character's special abilities.

Your "Stellaris" automatically utilize their active and passive abilities in combat, each with a cooldown timer that dictates when they can be used again. The key to success lies in crafting synergistic squads that maximize the strengths of your mecha girls. Combat unfolds in real-time, leaving the strategic element to the power and composition of your team.

Each Stellaris is categorized into one of four classes, each with unique roles:

  • Paladins – Boast the highest armor stat, acting as frontline defenders to absorb enemy attacks and protect teammates.
  • Support – Specialize in healing and supportive abilities, crucial for sustaining your squad from the backline.
  • Devastator – Masters of heavy firepower, designed to obliterate enemies with devastating energy damage.
  • Assaulter – Experts in melee combat, using bladed weapons to deal physical damage and swiftly take down foes.

Echo – The Gacha System of Scarlet Girls

Recruiting Stellaris is facilitated through the game's gacha system, known as "Echo." Stellaris are available in various rarities: R, SR, SSR, and SSR+. Higher rarity characters come with superior base stats in Attack, Defense, and HP, as well as more potent abilities that can significantly impact gameplay when utilized effectively.

At the global launch, the "Normal Echo" banner is your gateway to obtaining R-SSR Stellaris. You can summon using Echo tickets or Diamonds, with an SSR character guaranteed within 40 summons. Each summon also awards 20 echo points, and accumulating 2000 points allows you to select a random SSR character from one of four elemental banners (excluding Nebula). You can track your progress on the right side of the Echo system. The probabilities of recruiting different rarities are:

  • R Stellaris – 19.979% chance per character
  • SR Stellaris – 2.667% chance per character
  • SSR Stellaris – 0.133% chance per character
  • SSR+ Stellaris – 0.010% chance per character
