Riot Games still wants its MMO, but it is not even close to the finish
Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill recently shared his vision for the future at the DICE Summit, revealing a strong focus on a highly anticipated MMO set within the rich worlds of League of Legends and Arcane. Merrill admitted this MMO project consumes a significant portion of his time, fueled by his personal passion for the genre and a deep understanding of the fervent desire among League of Legends fans for deeper immersion in their beloved universe. While specifics regarding the MMO's release remain shrouded in mystery—Merrill playfully suggested a launch before the first human sets foot on Mars—his commitment speaks volumes about the project's potential.
It's important to note that another League of Legends-universe game, the highly anticipated fighting game 2XKO, is also in development. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO boasts trailers and a projected release date before the year's end, offering fans a more immediate glimpse into the expanded League of Legends gaming experience.
