Reviver: First Butterfly sees the time-based narrative game finally arrive on iOS

by Sophia Feb 10,2025
  • Reviver is finally set to debut on iOS and Android
  • Slated to release in winter of 2024, Reviver: Butterfly seems to have just missed the window
  • But it does mean you can play both of these top narrative titles, available now!

A few of you faithful readers (thank you, by the way) may remember that we covered a humble little release called Reviver back at the end of October. As far as we knew then, it was set to arrive in the winter of 2024, and it seems that it's just slightly missed that deadline as Reviver: Butterfly, is set to arrive on iOS and Android come January 17th.

Yes, due to some sort of naming convention, it seems that Reviver is coming to iOS and Android as Reviver: Butterfly and Reviver: Premium respectively. Both seem to be the same release,e however, and as stated before it sees you taking on the role of a tiny force of nature subtly tweaking the lives of two star-crossed lovers to bring them together.

While something being wholesome might be entirely subjective, I'd say that you can't go far wrong with something like Reviver. Offering an intriguing premise where you never actually meet or really see the two protagonists, you'll bring them together nonetheless and witness the changing times and events as they progress from youth to old age.

It's probably the only troublesome fact when it comes to seeing new indie releases make their way to mobile, which is many of their quirky names always seem to be taken by some ride-share app or something of that kind. A shame then that it caused Reviver's proper release to slip under our radar, but better to see it now than never!

Judging by the iOS page, it looks as if Reviver will let sceptics try out the prologue for free. It also lists out some intriguing details, as well as the fact you'll be able to get your mitts on Reviver ahead of its official Steam release to boot!
