Project NET: A New Girls’ Frontline Third-Person Shooter Spinoff Opens Pre-Registration

Exciting news for fans of the Girls’ Frontline series! Sunborn Network, the masterminds behind the popular mobile game, have unveiled their latest venture, Project NET—a thrilling third-person shooter spinoff. Pre-registration for this eagerly anticipated game is now open, and it's your chance to dive into the action early. Announced on the official South East Asian (SEA) Twitter (X) account on March 3, 2025, Project NET is gearing up to captivate players with its unique gameplay and familiar universe.

How to Pre-Register for Project NET

Getting in on the action is straightforward. Head over to Project NET’s official SEA website and hit the Pre-Register button. You'll be prompted to enter your email address and select your preferred device, be it iOS or Android. The same pre-registration process is also available on the game’s official Russian (RU) website, expanding access to a broader audience.

Shock Point Test Recruitment: Exclusive to the Philippines

In addition to pre-registration, Project NET is offering a special opportunity for players in the Philippines to participate in the "Shock Point Test." Announced via the game’s official SEA Twitter (X) account on March 4, 2025, this beta test is strictly for Android users and will be non-monetized with all data being wiped post-test. For those in Russia, similar details are available on the RU website. As the developers fine-tune the game, they are also preparing for a global rollout to reach players in other regions.

To join the Shock Point Test, interested players need to complete a recruitment questionnaire. Successful applicants can expect confirmation emails between March 24, 2025, and March 26, 2025. Test qualifications will continue to be distributed throughout the testing period, which has yet to be fully disclosed.

Project NET: From Announcement to Anticipation

Project NET was first announced by Sunborn Network on December 27, 2024, stirring excitement among fans. The game’s initial localized test ran from January 9, 2025, to January 16, 2025, and included countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines. This test provided valuable feedback and helped shape the game’s development.

The Girls’ Frontline franchise, which launched in 2016 as a strategy RPG gacha game, has grown significantly, branching into an anime series and other spin-off games. The latest addition to the franchise, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, released on December 5, 2024, has set the stage for Project NET. As a spinoff, Project NET will feature familiar characters and aesthetics, promising a seamless transition for fans of the series.

While an official release date for Project NET remains under wraps, the game is currently slated for iOS and Android platforms based on the devices used during its initial test. Stay tuned for more updates as Project NET gears up for its global launch, bringing the excitement of the Girls’ Frontline universe to third-person shooter fans worldwide.
