Pokémon TCG Pocket to Launch Trading and New Expansion This Month

If you've been eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming trading feature for Pokémon TCG Pocket, your wait is almost over. The much-anticipated trading feature is set to launch on January 29th, closely followed by a brand-new expansion called Space-Time Smackdown on January 30th.

Trading in Pokémon TCG Pocket is straightforward—you'll be able to exchange certain rarities of cards with friends, similar to the in-person trading experience. To facilitate trades, you'll need trade hourglasses and trade tokens, adding an authentic touch to this digital version of the iconic physical card collector.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion is aptly named and will introduce fan-favorite Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. This expansion will include two new digital booster packs featuring legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. If legendary Pokémon aren't your focus, you'll also enjoy the addition of other beloved Sinnoh Pokémon such as Lucario, and the starter trio of Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. These cards will be accessible through the Wonder Pick feature and traditional booster packs.
