Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual festive event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025! This exciting event features themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), this New Year's event offers a week of fresh festivities.

Key highlights include a boosted XP reward of 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw, and festive fireworks illuminating the in-game skies. The world will be decked out in New Year's decorations for a truly immersive experience.

Expect increased encounters with special, costumed Pokémon! Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat – and their Shiny variants!

Raids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are increased for all three.
