Elden Ring Nightreign's First Network Test: A PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Exclusive

Registration for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test opens January 10th, 2025, offering a sneak peek at this upcoming co-op Soulsborne experience. However, this initial beta will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is slated for a 2025 release and features three-player co-op gameplay within the Lands Between. The upcoming network test, scheduled for February 2025, serves as a crucial pre-launch evaluation.

How to Participate:

1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign website starting January 10th.
2. Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
3. Await confirmation via email.
4. Join the network test in February 2025.

Platform Limitations:

The beta's exclusivity to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is noteworthy, representing less than half of the game's planned platforms (also including PS4, Xbox One, and PC). Cross-platform play is not supported, meaning players will only be matched with others on the same console. Progress made during the beta is unlikely to transfer to the full game. Further betas may be announced later.

Gameplay Restrictions:

In addition to platform limitations, Elden Ring Nightreign will feature only solo or three-player parties, excluding duo gameplay. Whether the network test will introduce additional gameplay restrictions remains to be seen. Specific dates for the beta will be revealed soon.
