During today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo unveiled several exciting features of the system. The Nintendo Switch 2 boasts a larger 7.9-inch built-in screen, maintaining the same thickness of 13.9mm as the original Switch but doubling the pixel count. This upgrade allows for a 1080p display in handheld mode, running at up to 120fps. The screen is an LCD with HDR support, and when docked, it can deliver stunning visuals at up to 4K resolution with HDR.

The Joy-Con 2 controllers feature a magnetic connection and are detached by pressing a release button on the back. They come with larger SL and SR buttons on the side, enhancing the gaming experience when played horizontally. Additionally, the left and right sticks are bigger, and the segment revealed the introduction of mouse control support within the Joy-Con controllers.

The handheld version of the Nintendo Switch 2 includes a built-in microphone with noise-canceling technology and supports 3D audio for compatible games. It also features a larger, more robust stand that can be adjusted to various heights. A top USB port is available for external camera connectivity or to charge the system while in tabletop mode.

Storage-wise, the Nintendo Switch 2 comes equipped with 256GB of internal storage, providing ample space for games and applications.
