Nintendo's financial report confirms the launch of several first-party titles in 2025. Fans can look forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns HD hitting the shelves on January 16th, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are also slated for release this year, though specific dates remain under wraps.
While no additional projects have been announced, the anticipation builds for the upcoming Nintendo Direct. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, this event is expected to offer more insights into the Nintendo Switch 2. Although the focus will be on the new console, enthusiasts are eager for announcements of Switch 2-exclusive titles. The broadcast time will be shared closer to the date via Nintendo's official website and social media channels.
Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Ahead Of Launch
The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is set to launch later this year. According to the financial report, the console's debut is expected in the latter half of 2025. To build excitement, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events across 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida
Nintendo is set to further expand its IPs with the opening of a new Super Nintendo World in Orlando, Florida. Located at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe, the park will open its gates on May 22nd, 2025. This marks the second Super Nintendo World in the United States, following the successful launch at Universal Studios Hollywood in February 2023. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant worlds of Super Mario Land and the lush landscapes of Donkey Kong Country from day one.
Additionally, plans are underway to introduce Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore in 2025, though further details on this project are yet to be revealed.
