Netflix Expands Gaming: Over 80 Titles in Development

by Sadie Apr 19,2025

Streaming giant Netflix continues to expand its gaming service, with over eighty titles currently in development. During a recent earnings call, co-CEO Gregory K. Peters announced that Netflix has already launched more than 100 games and is working on an additional 80.

A key focus for Netflix is leveraging its existing intellectual property (IP) to enhance its gaming offerings. This means we can anticipate several upcoming games that tie directly into popular Netflix series, allowing viewers to transition seamlessly from watching to playing.

Another major area of emphasis is narrative-driven games, with the Netflix Stories hub being a significant initiative. The company plans to release at least one new entry every month, ramping up the schedule for Netflix Stories.

Initially, Netflix Games faced challenges due to low visibility among subscribers. However, Netflix remains committed to its gaming venture, continuing to push forward despite the lack of specific performance metrics for Netflix Games. The streaming service as a whole is still experiencing growth.
