Instructions
Step 1: Log in to your Riot Games account on their official website. Locate the "My account" button (usually on the left-hand side). A dropdown menu will appear; select "Settings."

Step 2: In your account settings, find the "Support" button (usually at the top). Click it to access the support page.

Step 3: Scroll down the support page to the "Support Tools" section. Locate and click the "Account Deletion" button.

Step 4: A confirmation page will appear. Click "Confirm start deletion progress" to initiate the 30-day deactivation period. You can cancel the deletion at any time during this 30-day period.

Deleting your account takes four simple steps. Remember, this affects all Riot Games titles. Your account will be deactivated for 30 days. Before proceeding, remove any linked payment information.
What Happens After You Delete Your Account?

After initiating deletion, Riot Games requires 30 days to permanently remove your account. During this time, the account is inactive. After 30 days, the account, username, in-game purchases, and personal data are permanently deleted. Your username will become available for other players. You have until day 25 to contact support and cancel the deletion.
Can You Restore Your Account After Deletion?
No. Account restoration is impossible after the 30-day period. If your account was compromised and deleted by hackers, contact Riot Games support; however, recovery is not guaranteed.
Why Do People Delete Their Accounts?

Reasons for account deletion vary. Some players lose interest, while others seek to address gaming addiction. Deleting the account can seem like a drastic but effective solution. However, the desire to return may arise later.
A common reason is managing gaming addiction, particularly concerning excessive spending on in-game items and the negative impact on personal life (work, studies, relationships). Deleting the account can be a responsible step to regain control and focus on other priorities. For some, it’s a necessary measure to overcome harmful gaming habits. While account deletion may provide temporary relief, it's important to consider the underlying issues contributing to the addiction.
