Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is canceled for being subpoenaed and progressive
Activists have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to online attacks against the developers, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for the studio.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official information and avoid spreading misinformation found online. He announced that review codes would be distributed "in the coming days" following the game's completion in early December. These codes are expected to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their previews and reviews. Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated just a week later.
