Josef Fares Unveils Split Fiction Insights in Interview
In a recent interview with MinnMax, Josef Fares, the head of Hazelight Studios, provided exciting updates on their upcoming game, *Split Fiction*. Fares reiterated the studio's steadfast commitment to steering clear of live-service models and microtransactions, emphasizing their dedication to delivering exceptional gaming experiences without additional costs. He firmly stated, "We're not going public. No microtransactions. We focus solely on delivering great gaming experiences."
Fares revealed that the core narrative of *Split Fiction* is expected to last around 12-14 hours, a duration that closely mirrors that of their previous hit, *It Takes Two*. For players looking to dive deeper, the inclusion of optional missions and additional content could extend the gameplay experience to 16-17 hours.
While Hazelight is renowned for its cooperative gameplay titles, Fares hinted at the potential for future exploration into single-player games. He also disclosed that the budget for *Split Fiction* is double that of *It Takes Two*, yet the studio remains committed to not releasing any post-launch DLC. This ensures that all features are available to players right from the game's launch on March 6th, which will be available globally on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
