Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy - All Power Cells in Precursor Basin
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy's Precursor Basin: A Zoomer Driving Challenge
Following Fire Canyon's intense Zoomer section, Precursor Basin offers a seemingly less perilous, yet arguably more challenging, vehicle-based level in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. While less deadly, the Basin's complex objectives demand mastery of the Zoomer to achieve a perfect run and collect all trophies.
Herding Moles: A Gentle Beginning
Begin by guiding four blind moles back to their burrows using the Zoomer. Simply nudge them towards their holes. The Zoomer's hop maneuver aids in sharp turns for efficient herding. Reward: A Power Cell from the Geologist in Rock Village.
Catching Flying Lurkers
These elusive creatures scatter at the Zoomer's approach. Strategic pursuit is key; anticipate their movements and intercept them, particularly at turns (refer to images). The final Lurker yields another Power Cell.
Conquering the Gorge Time Trial
The Gambler challenges you to beat a 45-second record on the Gorge race track (located near the Basin entrance). Utilize Lurkers for extra jumps and strategically collect Blue Eco speed boosts. Avoid Dark Eco crates. A sharp 180-degree turn is needed at the pit. A faster time (under 40 seconds) unlocks a trophy. Reward: A Power Cell from the Gambler.
Securing the Lake Power Cell
Starting from the slope (Image 1), navigate the narrow bridge and utilize hops to traverse the islands (Images 2-5). A final hop from the last island secures the Power Cell.
Restoring the Dark Eco-Infected Plants
This task involves using Green Eco to heal purple plants. Efficient driving and timely Eco refills are crucial. Reward: A Power Cell.
Mastering the Purple Precursor Rings
This timed challenge requires navigating a series of purple rings. Key moments include a daring hop off a bridge (shown above) and another similar jump later in the course. Completion rewards a Power Cell.
Navigating the Blue Precursor Rings – A Greater Test
The blue rings present a significantly tougher challenge. The route requires precise driving and skillful use of hops, especially when navigating the pillar (shown above) and the airborne ring over the lake. Careful maneuvering is needed around the Zoomer Trans-pad to avoid premature termination. Another tricky hop is required near the Dark Eco plants. A final challenging section involves navigating tight turns and narrow paths before reaching the final ring.
Reward: A Power Cell.
Liberating the Scout Flies
Seven Scout Fly boxes are scattered throughout Precursor Basin. Collecting all seven rewards a final Power Cell. Their locations are described in detail within the text.
