"Guide to Obtaining Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix in Pokemon Sleep"

by Alexis Apr 21,2025

*Pokemon Sleep* enthusiasts have a festive treat in store this winter, as the sleep tracking game gears up for another holiday event in December 2024. This year, alongside the charming Eevee donning a Santa hat, players will encounter two new adorable Pokemon: Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix.

When Do Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokemon Sleep?

Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix will make their Pokemon Sleep debut during the December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, scheduled for the week of December 23. This event not only brings exciting bonuses for sleep research and Dream Shard collection but also increases your chances of encountering these newcomers. As with all new Pokemon debuts in Pokemon Sleep, Shiny versions of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix will be available from the start.

Pawmi will start appearing at 3 PM on December 23. You can find it on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant, with a higher chance during its debut event. Pawmi, along with its evolutions Pawmo and Pawmot, belongs to the Snoozing sleep type. While you can evolve Pawmi into Pawmo and Pawmot using Candies, studying their sleep styles requires encountering them in the wild.

To encounter Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot, aim for a Snoozing sleep type during your Sleep Research. This sleep type reflects a light, common sleep pattern, making it easier to achieve. The Balanced Sleep Type, which evenly blends all three sleep styles, may also attract Pawmi, but your odds will be lower due to the balanced distribution.

Alolan Vulpix will begin appearing at 3 PM on December 23, exclusively at Snowdrop Tundra. Both Alolan Vulpix and its evolved form, Alolan Ninetails, are of the Slumbering sleep type. Achieving a deep sleep is key to encountering these ice-type Pokemon, as Slumbering requires a minimum of 8 hours of deep sleep, which can be challenging.

Similar to Pawmi, Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails can appear with the Balanced Sleep type, but this is less common.

To maximize your chances of encountering both Alolan Vulpix and Pawmi, head to Snowdrop Tundra during the Winter Holiday 2024 event in Pokemon Sleep. This is the only island where both Pokemon appear. Be prepared, as Snowdrop Tundra demands a high-level team, so consider training your Snowdrop team in advance to fully enjoy this winter event.
