"Guide to Catching Shroodle in Pokemon GO"

by Madison Mar 29,2025

The new year has brought an exciting array of new Pokemon for *Pokemon GO* trainers to capture. Following the introduction of Fidough, Shroodle, the Toxic Mouse Pokemon, is set to make its debut. However, catching Shroodle won't be as simple as encountering it in the wild.

When Did Shroodle Come to Pokemon GO?

Shroodle makes its appearance in *Pokemon GO* on January 15, 2025, during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Initially introduced in *Pokemon Scarlet & Violet*, Shroodle adds a fresh face to the *Pokemon GO* roster. Post-debut, trainers can continue their efforts to add Shroodle to their collections.

Can Shroodle Be Shiny?

Unfortunately, Shroodle will not have a Shiny variant available at its debut in *Pokemon GO*. Trainers will need to wait for a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokemon or Team GO Rocket, to encounter a Shiny Shroodle.

Recent trends in *Pokemon GO* mean that new Pokemon like Shroodle won't appear as wild spawns. Instead, trainers must hatch Shroodle from 12KM eggs. Starting from 12 AM local time on January 15, 12KM eggs have a chance to hatch into Shroodle, with higher probabilities during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event.

How To Get 12K Eggs

Since Shroodle can only be obtained through 12KM eggs, it's crucial to know how to acquire them. These eggs are among the rarest in the game and are exclusively obtained by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders or Giovanni. The Taken Over event is an excellent opportunity to gather 12KM eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more active and Rocket Radars easier to obtain. You can challenge GO Rocket Grunts to battle Sierra, Arlo, or Cliff at any time for a chance at a 12KM egg, provided you have space in your inventory.

How To Get Grafaiai in Pokemon GO

Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuted on January 15 in *Pokemon GO*. Unlike Shroodle, Grafaiai does not hatch from eggs or appear in the wild. To obtain Grafaiai, trainers must evolve a Shroodle using 50 Shroodle Candies. This means hatching multiple Shroodle or making it your buddy to accumulate the necessary candies for the evolution.
