Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them

Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. These aren't logged as typical quests; instead of advancing a questline, they offer a significant gold reward.

Unlike standard quest items, Golden Idols don't trigger a quest entry. You can sell them for a substantial amount of gold, making them a valuable find. There are five idols to discover in total.

Locating the Golden Idols

After completing the initial exploration of the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through the time portal, you'll arrive in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three idols, with two more located in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols are found in side rooms or on pedestals, not as enemy drops.

Cashing In Your Idols

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and locate Oswald in the northern part of the area. He's your buyer. Each idol commands a hefty price:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Finding all five yields a total of 6000 gold. Since they're valuable but take up inventory space, it's best to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your gold and minimize clutter.
