More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed
Bethesda and id Software showcased a new demonstration of DOOM: The Dark Ages during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier rumors of a May 15th release date.
Transporting players to the medieval era, The Dark Ages offers a distinct gameplay experience from its predecessors. This iteration emphasizes a more grounded, tank-like approach, shifting away from the frenetic, parkour-heavy combat of DOOM: Eternal. Players will feel like unstoppable killing machines, focusing on devastating foes with a powerful arsenal from the ground.
Central to this brutal efficiency are a shield and mace, providing a new tactical dimension to demon slaying. For the first time in the series, players will command a giant mech, offering a powerful advantage against smaller demons. Furthermore, the campaign will feature the thrilling opportunity to ride a dragon.
A flexible difficulty system allows players to tailor the challenge to their preference, adjusting enemy damage, and other parameters for a personalized experience.
