Freedom Wars Remastered: How To Use The Cell Garden

Quick Links

Early in Freedom Wars Remastered's main storyline, you'll need to locate the Cell Garden within your Panopticon. This location then serves as a safe, efficient resource-farming area, offering a less hazardous alternative to standard operations.

While multiple Cell Gardens exist throughout the game, accessing each one follows the same basic procedure, regardless of your current level. Below, we detail how to find any Cell Garden and explain its resource-gathering mechanics.

Where To Find Cell Garden Entrances in Freedom Wars Remastered

Mattias's request to investigate a ghost girl story initiates your search for the Cell Garden. To begin, navigate to Level 2's main cell block (2-A000). In the block's left corner, you'll find a small room resembling an elevator. Instead of an elevator, it's an access point leading to 2-E165 (Enzo's location).

From 2-E165, follow the right-hand wall to another small room containing a device that transports you to 2-G100. Repeat this process once more; the far room in 2-G100 houses the device leading to the Cell Garden.

This route to the Cell Garden remains consistent across all levels. Acquiring the Quick-Travel Entitlement significantly reduces travel time. Post-completion of the Cell Garden's main quest, access becomes unrestricted, but obtaining a specific Entitlement is highly recommended.

Each device leading to a new room or the Cell Garden is clearly marked with a blue door icon.

How the Cell Garden Functions in Freedom Wars Remastered

The initial Cell Garden mission differs from subsequent visits. Here's how it operates in later playthroughs:

  • A one-minute time limit is imposed before expulsion.
  • The room's layout is randomized each time.
  • Eight resource orbs (small, green spheres) are scattered throughout.

The Window on Liberty offers Entitlements to extend your Cell Garden stay. Some layouts present puzzles that can complicate resource collection, making these upgrades beneficial. The first upgrade, granting a two-minute limit, becomes available at CODE level 3.
