Fortnite Welcomes Cyberpunk 2077 with Exclusive Female V Collaboration
Cyberpunk 2077's Fortnite Debut: Why No Male V?
Fortnite players eagerly awaited the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077 content, a crossover many anticipated. The collaboration finally arrived, much to fans' delight, though some expressed disappointment over the absence of the male version of protagonist V. Speculation ran rampant, analyzing CD Projekt Red's marketing strategies. However, the explanation is far simpler.

Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077's lore expert and decision-maker for the Fortnite collaboration, clarified the situation. The bundle was designed for only two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This left no space for both male and female versions of V. With Johnny already a male character, selecting the female V was the logical choice, further influenced by Mills' personal preference.

Therefore, no grand conspiracy existed; it was purely a practical decision. This marks Keanu Reeves' second Fortnite skin appearance, following the inclusion of John Wick.
