Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2: Mortal Kombat Crossover Launches Feb 21

Epic Games has officially unveiled the exciting new Battle Pass skins for Fortnite's upcoming season, titled "Wanted." This season promises an adrenaline-pumping experience centered around heists, complete with gun-toting villains, gold-laden vans, and explosive bank vaults—everything you'd expect from a thrilling robbery scenario.

Scheduled to kick off on February 21, the "Wanted" season will feature a unique collaboration with the iconic fighting game franchise, Mortal Kombat. Fans can look forward to Sub-Zero joining the Battle Pass, seamlessly integrating the heist theme into the skins.

This exciting collaboration coincides with the promotion of the upcoming film, Mortal Kombat 2, featuring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana. Players can purchase the new skins using V-Bucks, Fortnite's premium currency, with each character priced at 1,500 V-Bucks, maintaining the standard pricing.

Confirmed returning items for the season include the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret, although other weapons remain unconfirmed. Drawing from the previous heist-themed season (Chapter 4 Season 4), the community speculates the potential return of the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, the Tommy Gun, and even the Grappler. However, these are currently just rumors.

A much-anticipated feature this season is Smart Building, a new mechanic that predicts the structure players need based on their aim direction, enhancing the gameplay experience.

The "Wanted" season also introduces a revamped gameplay mechanic, replacing keycards with vault breaches. Players will now use Meltanite, Fortnite's equivalent of thermite, to crack open vaults and claim their rewards, adding a new layer of strategy to the heist theme.
