Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth have received updates that fix the controller issue
Patches for Final Fantasy VII Remake are now available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5. This update addresses controller vibration issues stemming from motor malfunctions. The game follows Cloud Strife, a former SOLDIER, as he joins Avalanche to thwart Shinra Electric Power Company's planet-destroying plans.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the sequel continuing the story after the escape from Midgar, receives update 1.080. This update refines the game's atmosphere and enhances realism through improved haptic feedback. The PC version launches January 23, 2025. This second installment of the trilogy expands the narrative and emphasizes exploration.
While initial sales of Final Fantasy XVI (May 2024) were disappointing and ultimately fell short of fiscal year projections, the exact figures remain undisclosed. Similarly, Square Enix has not released sales data for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, confirming it also missed internal targets.
However, Square Enix clarified that they don't consider the sales of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a complete failure. Furthermore, they remain confident that Final Fantasy XVI can still meet its projected goals within the 18-month timeframe.
