FFXIV Welcomes Back Free Login Event

Final Fantasy XIV Free Login Campaign Returns!

Final Fantasy XIV is offering another chance to return to Eorzea! The Free Login Campaign is back, running until February 6th, 2025, allowing eligible players with inactive accounts to enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay. This applies to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players.

This opportunity arrives hot on the heels of Patch 7.15, which introduced new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the much-anticipated return of the Hildibrand quests and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida recently shared his annual New Year's message, confirming the upcoming release of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller content updates. He also teased future directions for the Dawntrail main storyline, sparking much speculation among players.

The Free Login Campaign, starting January 9th, 2025, at 3:00 AM Eastern Time, and ending February 6th, 2025, at 9:59 AM Eastern Time, provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to rejoin the adventure. The four-day timer begins upon logging into the game launcher.

Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account with Square Enix, inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Players with suspended or canceled accounts due to Terms of Service violations are not eligible. Square Enix encourages players to verify their eligibility status on the Mog Station.

While the campaign runs, players can participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th) to earn a special minion reward. Patch 7.16, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest side series, arrives on January 21st. This free period allows returning players to catch up on the Dawntrail storyline before the release of Patch 7.2. The future of Dawntrail in 2025 remains shrouded in mystery, leaving players eagerly anticipating Square Enix's next announcements.
