While *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* isn't an open-world game in the truest sense, its sizable world map offers a significant area to explore. Fast travel in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* utilizes Waymarks, accessed through the in-game map screen. Before you can fast travel to a Waymark, you must first unlock it. To do so, simply approach the Waymark on the world map and hold down the X button (PlayStation) or A button (Xbox). Once unlocked, it will appear on the map screen, ready for instant travel.

Accessing the Map Screen

To access the map, outside of battle, interact with an unlocked Waymark on the world map or pause the game and navigate to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation players can also quickly access the map by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map, saving precious seconds.

Selecting a Destination

On the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark displays nearby key locations and battles. To find a specific battle or location, press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to toggle information. Then, use Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to cycle through available battles and locations. Select your target, and the cursor will automatically move to the nearest Waymark.
