FromSoftware has sent out confirmation emails for the highly anticipated Elden Ring: Nightreign Network Test. Read on to learn more about the test and the unfortunately prevalent scams surrounding it.

Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test Confirmation Emails Sent

On January 30th, 2025, FromSoftware announced via Twitter (X) that confirmation emails for the Elden Ring: Nightreign network test had been dispatched. Excited fans quickly shared their confirmation emails, expressing their anticipation and gratitude for being selected.

Those receiving confirmation emails will receive a follow-up email on February 11th, 2025, containing a unique code to download the Network Test client for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Registration for the test ran from January 10th to January 20th, 2025. Unfortunately, FromSoftware hasn't provided information on whether additional test dates will be available for those who didn't receive an email.

FromSoftware describes the network test as a preliminary verification to test online systems via large-scale network load tests, allowing them to assess server capacity for multiple players.

The Elden Ring: Nightreign Network Test runs from February 14th to 16th, 2025, offering five 3-hour sessions:

  • Session 1: February 14th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
  • Session 2: February 14th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT
  • Session 3: February 15th, 11 AM - 2 PM PT
  • Session 4: February 16th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
  • Session 5: February 16th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT

Beware of Scammers and Scalpers

Reports indicate a scam circulating on Steam, where players receive fake Elden Ring: Nightreign Network Test invites. Clicking these leads to suspicious pages, potentially compromising accounts and spamming friend lists with the same malicious invite. FromSoftware emphasizes that official registration and confirmation occurred only through their website and social media; any other links are unauthorized and likely harmful.

Adding insult to injury, scalpers are already attempting to profit from the hype. Despite codes not being available until February 11th, listings on various buy-and-sell sites offer "confirmed test codes" for exorbitant prices, ranging from $150 to $200, with some even auctioned off.

Elden Ring: Nightreign, initially announced during the Game Awards 2024, is slated for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2025. While a precise release date remains unannounced, stay tuned to our Elden Ring: Nightreign page for the latest updates.
