Dynasty Warriors: Origins: Gem Crafting Guide

Quick Links

Boosting your character in Dynasty Warriors: Origins just got easier with Gems! These equippable items provide passive buffs, significantly aiding your progress, especially on harder difficulties. Crafting and upgrading gems involves a bit of randomness, but this guide will help you master the system.

How To Craft & Level Up Gems In Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Gem crafting utilizes Pyroxene and is accessible at any Inn or tent. In your room, select "Create Gems" (the second option from the top). You can use as much Pyroxene as you like, with a one-to-one conversion rate to craft gems. There are five unique gems, each with a chance of being crafted with each Pyroxene.

Initially crafted gems are level 1 and can be equipped via the Battle Preparations menu. Crafting duplicate gems provides XP, leveling up the base gem and increasing its effectiveness. If you're not focused on specific gems, use all your Pyroxene at once for a broad upgrade across all gem types.

For targeted gem acquisition, the "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" effect might trigger during single gem crafting. This effect randomly selects three gems, limiting crafting possibilities. You can cancel this and retry if dissatisfied. While tedious, crafting one gem at a time increases your chances of triggering "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" for your desired gem. Note that even with "Eyes of the Sacred Bird," some randomness remains.

Here's a list of the five craftable gems:

Gem NamePassive BoostOblivion GemExpands attack range.Vortex GemBoosts damage to airborne enemies.Scorch GemBoosts damage against parried enemies.Wellspring GemRestores health for every 100 enemies defeated.Ascendance GemChance to automatically block enemy officer attacks.

Where To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Pyroxene appears as orange crystals scattered throughout the overworld. Collecting a crystal yields one Pyroxene, after which the crystal disappears. Pyroxene respawns after skirmishes or battles, encouraging exploration of previously visited areas. You can also occasionally find Pyroxene in letters received in your Inn or tent room.
