Mastering Stealth in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: The Art of Rock Throwing

While direct combat has its thrills, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's stealth mechanics offer a compelling alternative. A key element of this stealth gameplay is the ability to distract enemies by throwing rocks. Here's how to effectively utilize this tactic.

Remember: Rock throwing is exclusively a stealth action. Initiate stealth mode by pressing the right stick (controllers) or the C key (PC). Once in stealth, use the following controls to throw a rock:

  • PlayStation: Hold R1
  • Xbox: Hold RB
  • PC: Hold G

Holding the button will bring up a targeting reticule, allowing you to aim your throw. Release the button to hurl the pebble.

Strategic Rock Throwing Tips:

Unlimited Ammo: Don't worry about running out of rocks! Henry's supply is seemingly endless.

Noise Radius: While the noise created by a thrown rock has a limited range, it's crucial to ensure your target is within that radius. Keep in mind that hitting objects like dishes will create a louder, more noticeable sound.

Distraction and Opportunity: A well-placed rock will draw enemies' attention, giving you the chance to either eliminate them stealthily or simply slip away unnoticed. However, a direct hit on an enemy will immediately alert them, negating the stealth advantage.

Bird Nests: Explore the game world! Bird nests, plentiful throughout the map, can be targeted with rocks. These nests often contain valuable rewards, such as eggs (providing a small health boost) or even rare dice badges.
