Note that some Pals, like Starryon, are nocturnal unless encountered as boss variants.

Capturing or defeating these Pals (using Ultimate or Exotic Spheres is recommended) yields 1-3 Dark Fragments per encounter. Drops aren't guaranteed, but diligent hunting will provide a sufficient supply.
