Idris Elba Wants a Cyberpunk 2077 Live-Action with Keanu Reeves

Idris Elba, star of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, has expressed strong interest in a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 adaptation featuring himself and Keanu Reeves. In a recent interview promoting Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (where he and Reeves share the screen), Elba stated that a live-action Cyberpunk film starring him and Reeves would be "Whoa."

This isn't just wishful thinking. Variety reported in October 2023 that CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is indeed developing a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 project with Anonymous Content. While details remain scarce a year later, the success of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and The Witcher live-action series suggests a Cyberpunk adaptation is a strong possibility.

Elba played Solomon Reed in Phantom Liberty, while Reeves portrayed Johnny Silverhand in the main game. Their on-screen chemistry could translate well to a live-action film.
