Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Expanding Horizons with Mongols and Asia

Paradox Interactive has unveiled its ambitious plans for Crusader Kings III in 2025, encompassing Chapter IV: a significant expansion into Asia. This chapter introduces new mechanics and vast new regions to explore, promising a fresh and exciting gameplay experience.

The journey begins with the recently released Crowns of the World cosmetic DLC. This stylish pack provides six new crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, offering players more options to personalize their rulers and enhance their in-game aesthetic.

Next up, on April 28th, arrives the first major DLC, Khans of the Steppe. This expansion plunges players into the heart of the Mongol Empire, allowing them to lead nomadic hordes, conquer vast territories, and establish their dominance across the steppes.

Following the Khans of the Steppe, Coronations will introduce a compelling new ceremonial mechanic. Players will legitimize their rule through grand coronation events, complete with extravagant festivities, solemn vows, and crucial decisions shaping the kingdom's future. New advisor and vassal events will further enrich political interactions. This DLC, set for release in Q3 (July-September), adds considerable depth to royal succession.

The grand finale of Chapter IV is All Under Heaven, a massive expansion arriving later in the year. This expansion unveils a meticulously detailed East Asian map, encompassing China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will discover vast new territories to explore, conquer, and shape according to their ambitions.

Between these major DLC releases, Paradox will continue to refine the game experience through regular patches. These patches will address game systems and AI behavior, improving overall gameplay. The developers actively encourage player feedback to inform future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26th.
